Old Post Office Marloes" - The House |

Entrance
to the main house is via a side gate and path. The house
is surrounded to the side and rear by gardens with well
established plants offering seclusion and privacy. To the
front of the house is a parking area for three cars. The
ground floor consists of two living areas and a large kitchen
all of which are open plan. This is a very light space,
with large french windows leading out on to a patio area
ideal - for barbeques. |

|
Furnishings
and wall colours are quiet and understated, floorings
are natural - solid oak and terracotta tiles. The inner
sitting room has a wood burning stove, great for any chilly
evening - not only the colder months; two sofas, an oak
coffee table and a shelving unit housing TV, video and music
system. The smaller sitting room contains a futon, two leather
armchairs and a coffee table. There is a large
hall area with extensive hanging space for coats and boots,
an upright piano, and a small library.

The
kitchen is equipped with an oil fired raeburn stove (providing
central heating & hot water as well as a slow burning
stove great for tasty roasts and casseroles), an electric
oven, a gas hob with wok attachment, a fridge/freezer and
a dishwasher. |

A
large oak dining table with extra leaves will easily seat
fourteen. A utility room - ideal for hanging out wetsuits
or walking boots - is equipped with washing machine, tumble
dryer, microwave, belfast sink and wooden draining board.

On
the first floor, there are five bedrooms, a bathroom
(with shower&bath) and a shower room. Two bedrooms
are very large with 5ft beds. The other three rooms
are part of the original Post Office and, whilst
small, have a charming cottage feel; two of them
have 4'6" beds, the third has a 3' bed. A travelling
cot is available. Four of the rooms have louvered
shutters, the fifth has venetian blinds. |
